TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Whether in public speaking or teaching, I bring a lot of energy to inspire my students and keep them excited about the subject/topic. As a childcare consultant, I set up and managed a crèche. As a substitute teacher in Maryland, I taught a wide range of subjects including Social Studies, History, English, Reading, Writing and Government. I believe that students who are taught in a conducive and welcoming environment with a pleasant, understanding and caring teacher that makes learning interactive instead of boring are better able to learn and make progress. I also believe that a teacher should adequately prepare to ensure that the students get value for their time in class. I earn the respect of my students by being sensitive to their academic, cultural and psychological needs. My goal is to inspire my students to excel.
