Today February 27, we are scheduled to announce the 2nd Cycle Awardees. Unfortunately this has been waived because we did not receive the required number of nominations (20).

We implore nominators to please ensure they fill the award nomination forms. Gong the extra mile on behalf of your nominee is a step in the right direction towards your bid to win your nominee the award.

We need everyone to join us in our bid to impact lives by supporting and promoting this initiative. Please feel free to search out nominees in the nooks and crannies of your community or village. These nominees need not be known to you; he/she may be someone's house help, someone's apprentice, your mechanic's child etc.

Our vision is for this to have a ripple effect so that the initiative will be multiplied across the nation. This won't happen if we do not properly search out those for whom this modest offering will be life changing.

THANK YOU!!! Without you, we would not have been able to impact the lives we have touched with ACE 4.0 Project so far... Your willingness to nominate, monitor the progress of the beneficiaries, donate, support, sponsor etc. have gone a long way to help us impact the beneficiaries at little or no cost in terms of logistics.

As with other things, we have already started recording some eye opening facts. When our representatives went to present the gift - crutches - to Ifeanyi Otisi, one thing was immediately apparent, he needs a set of leg braces more than a set of crutches. Was this an oversight by the nominator? Was this an error in description or word use? Did the nominator expect that we would give cash with which the real need can be taken care of? We may never know but the nominator confirmed that this is what Ifeanyi requested in addition to computer training, which is ongoing. But, since he at the moment does not have an active lower body, the gift may end up being a burden to him.

I recollect vividly that as part of preparation for my wedding, I suggested to my fiance to use a cravat; while I meant ascot cravat, he thought of cravat ties; what solved the problem, pictures. We implore nominators to ensure they properly review the nominee’s need to ensure we arrive at a need whose solution will be impactful.

It will go a long way if you are specific in the reason you state on the nomination form e.g. don't just write to upgrade widows business, write to buy the following xyz products at this xyz rate to equip her shop and help raise the sales of the widow’s business. Please note that we seldom will give cash, so whatever you have listed should be what the nominee needs. If school fees, please be ready to provide school account number or head teacher's contact number to enable us confirm where to send the money. Also give us full address of nominee, we may decide to make the presentation on any day and all we would do is confirm that the recipient is available. We do not require the nominator or media crew there; it is just a token of encouragement not a medium for cheap popularity. The only reason we take pictures, it to show proof that the gift was presented.

Let's continue to share the love of God by helping others live, love, laugh and learn!
